Can a book still changesomeone´s life? To answer this question, the documentary Galaxies tells storiesabout people from different places in Brazil - Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo,Minas, Pernambuco, Amazonas and Distrito Federal – who created public librariesin their communities on their own. In parallel to these character´s narratives,Galaxies travels around the world listening to both intellectuals and ordinarypeople, trying to discover what makes a person love a book.
